Can you see the new expression on his face? These were taken yesterday, I couldn't see him today, too late, and too dark, now. Like his life. No, hasn't been out, anywhere. Neighbour has opened the garage door a little more. Wouldn't want the horse getting too much air.

"Are you kidding me?"

He is definately loosing weight, GL. Keep snapping pics as you can to document.
Prayers for AC.
:(
Why.
WHY DO THESE PEOPLE ALWAYS END UP WITH HORSES!?
hes a gorgeous one.
He is such a beautiful boy. So very sad to see the look on his face, quietly imploding. Damn.
All I can say is that idiot is lucky she somehow managed to end up with a very quiet stallion.
I have a gelding who would have turned her little 'walls' into kindling. He's the kind of horse who will brave touching hot tape...just to see if it's on.
Not that I would wish that existance on any horse, I'd love to trade her horses for a day and see how she would make out...
I have a feeling it would be score one for my horse...the idiot ZERO!
Poor Chief, he looks like he is asking if you are there to "Get him the HELL out of there."
SHRIEEEEEKKKKK.
I just found out where the other HORSES of hers are.
The guy that "boards" them (yeah, sure) was in at Our house, looking for idiot, told her he's evicting her.
gotta go.
Poor old fellow! He is a sweetie, so many would have kicked her head off by now. Could we swap him out for one that would ? just for a day or 2.
Maybe a rescue that say ,bit a auction meat buyer?
GL- lets hope that instead of evicting her horses, he offers them up for a feed lien sale. Put them in better homes instead of dumping them off for her to do what she will with them.
Peace be with you and the horses. All of them under her ownership. I won't say under her care, because they obviously are not getting that. You know. Proper care?
She has MORE horses?! Is she NUTS?! Oh. Never mind. She IS keeping a stallion in a garage.
Curiouser, and curiouser. There is one horse over at the other place, NOT the two horses I knew she also owned. Where the heck are the other two!
Took pictures, the bay filly (about 2.5 yr.old) is in much better weight. WHY. The owner of the property has been feeding them. although that was supposed to be nutbar's job.
Holly cow...
This is a DIFFERENT horse. Bay Filly, lots of white, about 2-2.5, gant and wormy, but alive thanks to the property owner who would throw her hay.
She's called the police on me, she showed up at the property, when I was there, talking to the kind people who thought they were helping someone. She's never paid anything for the feed "care" of that horse. Nothing. Refused to help load some hay, and that was enough for the kind couple.
They asked her to take the horse & leave the property, as of 4/16/10, and put up no trespassing signs. They need to use the filly's um, stall for their own use. She won't leave..
Now the police are calling me.
yup, and the husband is furious.FML
GL, don't you dare let that light go out! The horses and the true horse people of the world would be diminished by the loss greatly! I will send Johnnie out there to kick your butt! (Ok well I wont cause you wouldn't let me have him back but...)Remeber GL there are good worthwhile Caring horse people out here in the world , and we adore you!
Do't you DARE give up GL! Wrongs will never be righted if the conspiracy of silence is allowed to continue. Other bloggers get away with outright harassment...maybe sometimes it IS justified! Dang, I can't believe I just typed that;)
Does the landlord have a pet clause? Why would he or she allow a renter to keep a HORSE in the garage?
I don't know about Canada, but in the States you just go on down to the courthouse and file a lien. Cheap and easy-peasy. Small claims court for damages is another avenue if the horse has chewed fencing, etc.
GL- don't worry if your pilot light goes out. We will all be the backup and bring flame throwers!
In the states- After 30 days of non payment the horse can be sold through a feed lien. Horse is to be sold for what is owed. Owner has to be served papers through the court and usually a lock is placed on the gate to prevent a 'midnight moveout'. Don't think these are reserved only for midnight- it could happen during the day.
Kind older people can sell her horse for back board. At this point a reasonable amount should suffice. BUT- she could very well be a 'buyer', show up with cash and pay things off.
I would imagine the landlord could evict her for non payment of a pet deposite, any damages to the garage and surely something else if the local law enforcement would get off their asses and do something.
Hell, we all know if you, me or anyone else were to do it they would be all over our asses like flies on shit. Maybe you can file charges of unfair or partial treatment....

Remember that movie where Drew Barrymore (I think) divorced her parents? WOnder what would happen if someone acting on AC's behalf filed court papers for emancipation from Nutbar? Think the media would pick that up and run with it?
Perfect, thanks Fern. Thanks, y'all.
The cop, upon further debriefing by my husband, as I was kinda too shaky to talk, called nutbar back to tell her off for wasting his time.
so, phew.
Not incarcerated for carrying a camera.
Wait'll you see the filly. She's in a palace. Remember Butch's FICTIONAL lodgings? Along the same lines, but in miniature.
You know, Fern. The cattle nutty guy. No-one in town has ever been able to do anything about him, either.
And I guess karma is biting me for calling my blog GoLightlyFiction.
Makes you wonder if anything forthcoming is true.
I WROTE A FICTIONAL..
oh, never mind.
It's in my profile.
fcik.
Husband says a vet was here today, looking at him. I hope he's okay:(
Stayed about an hour, small dark SUV, old guy, grey hair..
worse news than that, keep all fingers crossed.
You need a distraction.

Make fun of me all you want, but not the horses, they aren't mine.
More chapters in the fruitless search for a horse. I LOVED the big grey, I was really figuring him out...he's only four. My coach said no way. Boo.
S&B, nothing to make fun of there...you're improving dramatically!
I know I can ride better, I was just trying out those horses for the first time. There was much bouncing and wrong leadage. The grey doesn't look fun, but seriously, big grin, most fun horse I've ever ridden! You don't even feel like you are MOVING at the canter!
Oh, my dog, SB, you darlin' thing!
Look at that!!
Wowza, you've come a LONG way. Those horses all look adorable, and fun, and you look great!
WOW..
Thanks, hon. I'm crying a bit, cause you look so good.
What quick improvement!
Kudos to you and your coach and her horses.
And your husband:)
wow.
Here's the clicky thingy

TOLD ya you were good. Hah!
Yeah, that worked. For a minute.
Well thanks ladies, that's nice to hear.
I am actually in a state of transition, coach-wise. Trying out all these strange horses made me realize that maybe I am not SOOO terrible, and I should maybe spend my free time in the type of lessons where there is some positive reinforcing happening. Or possibly abandon competitive lessons/showing altogether and enjoy my horses for a while.
Pretty much going to thank Wolfgang and Spooky for any improvements...between the two of them, I certainly picked up a few things!
S&B, you look to me like you've got the brain part down pat, you just need some miles to get stronger in the muscle part. Maybe split it half and half, do a lesson and also take an interval to trail ride. Lots of miles on the flat will make the jumping part come naturally.
Thanks Kestrel, that's kind of what I was thinking too. I really want to get this young Clyde ready for the 5 day trip in August, that's a whole lotta miles, both in between and when we get there!
Nothing really to add to the conversation - just WOW.
God it sucks when you are the one that has to drag in the authorities and get involved with the sorts of people you never thought you'd have to.
Kind of one of the reasons I keep to myself actually. When you TALK to other people you may find yourself going, "How did I meet the sort of person with this going on in their life? Am I now involved?" Yikes.
But when there's a horse you have to be involved. Only so many people have the knowledge to make informed decisions, we happen to be in that group.
S&B,
I watched your videos. I think you looked really good, definitely lots of improvement.
It is easy to look good on a horse that you are familiar with, but to look good on horses that you have not ridden says alot.
kudos to you SB, you are turning into a great rider and I am proud you shared your videos with us. Nothing to be ashamed of there. Keep up the good work.
