Or at least, SOME people. Slightly disturbed people. GooD people.
I have to do another apology, which is how I tend to go through life anyway. Oh, sorry, let me help you with that. Oh, sorry, let's let you get ahead of me in line. Want to cut me off in traffic? No worries, I will stay out of your way.
SoRRRRy. I am about to get grumpy. It's much better than sorry. Really.
The clouds are peering in, in frozen old Toronot, land of the "get me out of here" people. The grumps is a common malady at this time of year. We've been cold, wet, colder, frozen, frozen and solidified, crystallized and I still can't believe that Mrs. Reinert of retired racehorse today fame isn't shrieking about the cold, every.single.day. I admire people who don't constantly whine about the weather. Living with a
Why anyone actually chooses to move north is beyond me. If you can, stay south! Trust me on this, okay? Only if you are BORN here are you allowed to stay here for years at a time. Otherwise, why would you want to? My BIL moved MY family BACK here, after being born here, and then moving to Vancouver burban land. GUESS where I vacationed, 3 (maybe it was four) times in the decade they lived there?? BIL is an odd duck though, so that explains it:) Born to be in the city, ya know?
:)
I haven't gone to see the new older shorter sister/BIL family house yet, it's entirely the wrong direction when I leave work. I leave Toronto, as soon as I possibly can, after work. My older smaller sister SAID she was moving to the burbs. The northern burbs, I can handle. Where was the location of their new house?? The depths, the bowels, nay, the very pancreas of Toronto, that's where! So, they've been here since last fall. I've had several requests/pleas/demands to change my "get the hell out of the city" routine. Soon, I keep saying. In the summer. Maybe.
Some things just do not make me feel guilty anymore. Older sister is still shorter, and since I can make her laugh, I'm golden anyway.
That's the wonderful thing about family that loves you, right? No matter how much of an arsehole you are, they still love you. They still get you. Mostly;)
OH, but I can still bitch about stuff, right? Here's something that caught my ire today. Here's quality horse-equipment advertising.
Or am I behind the times again, and too-tight throatlatches are normal? Ah, well, what can you expect, a hardware store selling $22.00 headstalls. Fit don't count, anyway. I think the bit's too tight/high too. But again, since I don't consume these products, what the heck can I say?? SOMEone needs to do posts on fitting tack. Not ugly tack, not pink tack, not plaid tack. FITTING TACK. It's the MOST important part, fcs!
For Fern, because she's amazing. And she will give me Johnnie;)
Hey, if I show up, what else could you say? I'm kidding, btw, Fern.
maybe.

Ewww-Most definitely too tight in the throatlatch and the bit. They are taking the 'smile' to a whole new level. :-(
