Stinky 2 - The Usual Conundrum

Well, some exciting things have been happening at work, and in the midst of said excitement, we still have our Stinky. Okay, My Stinky..
earlier picture

very recent picture, sooo happy....

I wish his name would come to me soon, but maybe that's because I am not his real owner. Usually an animal that comes into my life is named, because the name just comes to me. So far, I just want to call him Stinky. Or George, but I don't know why. Maybe after Carlin... Stinky is a funny cat. SO loving/lap-hogging/desk-sprawling. I've had to bark at him for chewing telephone hand-set cords, and he still wants to, when I'm on the phone, natch.

OH, and before I forget, my little older sister is reading/checking up on me here, for dog's sakes, and she's still a tad miffed by the pancreas of Toronto comment I made. Here's the deal. This is my blog, sistah. It's an opinion blog, and only mine counts. See why I like blogging? Saves all that arguing, anyway. At least you don't live in the gall bladder of  Toronto, like brother...

Double-OH, you also might have noticed I've actually spent a whole couple of blogs without horses. Well, I kinda started involuntarily boycotting thinking about them, but as usual, it didn't last long. How do I waste my money? I buy an "Magner's Classic Encyclopedia of the Horse", originally published in uh, 1887. I love reading old stuff. It's WAY older than me..

AND the guy was bitching about checking/blinders/cropping-tails/force-breaking back THEN.
$12.99 at Coles' Books, people. Classic, I look forward to reading it. And then donating it..

books, young man, books...

edited to add, holy CRAP, Magner was a huge fan of throwing horses, and war-bridles, OH, and tying their heads to their tails was also highly effective. He spent many chapters explaining about vicious horses. Guess there were LOTS of them back in the good old days..

No, no more vicious horses back then than now...but there were even more non-horsie owners back then and worse than today because back then, they needed horses. ;-)

Stinky George there looks just like the cat that jumped in My Honey's car. Both the beginning and ending pics. Poor Charley was in pretty tough shape but is now one FAT and completely happy cat. He still refuses to leave the sanctuary of HIS shop. He is taking NO chances that does gets shut with him on the outside. LOL

I still say Pepe is a better name. Something toned down a bit more.

As far as the vicious horses and vicious methods, maybe the horses were a clear product of their treatment and those handling had yet to learn- there is a better way.
